Toshiyuki Yokogawa

I am very fortunate to be the President of Kojo Chemicals Co., a company that has been in business for 70 years.

The world has changed drastically due to COVID-19 starting in 2020, and the Japanese economy has been severely damaged, but on the other hand, new lifestyles, working style, and values have been born. In particular, the world has become much closer to us with the spread of online technology.

The chemical industry is facing tremendous amount of challenges, including soaring raw material and fuel prices and raw material procurement problems due to disruptions in marine transportation.
We actively support global procurement of small-quantity, niche raw materials and materials that major trading companies are unable to follow up, by utilizing our experience and network.

In addition, we have started importing and exporting processed food products with the goal of contributing to the development of local communities by utilizing our experience in the import/export business and spreading the hidden yet delicious local food ingredients to the world.
We are not just a trading company but also invite experts in the field of processed foods to offer solutions to our clients' needs, when it comes to product development, application procedures, sales channel development, sales representation, and negotiation.

We are determined to grow together with our customers as a company that continues to take on the challenges of the new era by making proposals that meet the needs of our customers, while maintaining our past achievements, credibility, and experience.

We will continue to focus on the following three areas.

  • One-stop contract services for precision resin processing (molding)
  • Overseas procurement of chemical raw materials (China, India, etc.) and procurement support
  • Export of safe and secure processed foods and functional foods that Japan is proud of (export production and representation)
